Red Bull Heavy Metal stands as the pinnacle of street snowboarding, showcasing raw creativity and athleticism while properly highlighting the culture. I played a pivotal role in resurrecting the property after a nearly 20-year hiatus, leveraging insights to identify a growing resurgence in this side of the sport. Over the last four years, I’ve directed communications, editorial strategy, and content distribution, ensuring each iteration grabbed the world’s attention.

 

 

BURTON US OPEN

the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships is the longest-running snowboard contest by a long, long margin — and it’s still the one that every snowboarder dreams of winning. The world's best snowboarders head back to Vail Mountain in Colorado to compete for the most prestigious halfpipe and slopestyle titles in the sport.

 

 

VOLCOM PIPE PRO

The 11th edition of the Volcom Pipe Pro returned in 2020 to the legendary Hawaiian surf break known as the Banzai Pipeline. Held on the North Shore of Oahu, the event brings together 144 of the world’s best surfers to compete on the unrivaled wave of waves, the legendary Banzai Pipeline. This year the event has been upgraded to a Men’s QS 5000-rated competition and now offers more points and more prize money as the surfers battle for $100,000.

Snowboarding receives a jolting revival on a one-of-a-kind course designed by masterminds Ben Ferguson and Mark McMorris.Like anything that evolves, stagnancy stalls progression. There is a constant need for change, be it in our culture or ideology, in order to progress and move forward. As it relates to modern day snowboarding, some would say that exists in the form of standardized contests that don’t give riders a voice. Enter Red Bull Recharged, a gathering that’s set to spark change to the status quo.
